I can tell you right now, for me, I get bombarded with a good $3k+ worth of upgrades and subscription renewals during this time of year. (I get hit like this a few other times during too.) Were it not for me budgeting this stuff in annually, I'd probably get screwed and miss all sort of upgrade discounts. I almost always upgrade within 15 minutes of the new version coming online, but what about everybody else who's trying to fit in their various upgrades AND contend with holiday spending? It's not easy. As long as you own the last version and upgrade before the next one comes in, you're good to go for the current one. Other companies aren't nearly as unbending on this. It's really conditional loyalty.Īdobe needs to be more flexible and remove that deadline. I get how they're trying to encourage early adoption, but they're really playing fast and loose with the word "loyalty" here. It's not as if you suddenly no longer own the prior version just because the calendar moves ahead a day. it shoud not matter when i buy the new version to get the loyalty discounts That IS pretty weird.
